Our Nursery

Children absolutely love the engaging play and fun activities we offer. We know children learn through play so having activities that can shape, extend and enhance their learning and teach them something new is something we always look to promote. As children get older playing can also improve their concentration, promote social skills and helps creates the first foundations of friendships.

Our staff play a crucial role to provide children with the resources needed to make these activities possible for the children, all designed to help them explore their environment and use their imagination.

Whilst all our activities are fun the educational benefits are promoted. Whether it’s helping children with counting or improving literacy skills, children are in good stead for their future.

One of the most enjoyable nursery activities is being able to play outside and explore our fantastic natural environment surrounded by fun and fresh air.

Our indoor classrooms ignite your child’s imagination and sense of curiosity, and we are committed to providing the very best learning experience for your child.

Our Nursery Day

The Nursery follows a long-term plan which highlights the main themes and topics for the year ahead. We also build in a number of main events including an Easter Show, Sports Day, Pre-School Graduation Day and of course a Christmas Show.

Daily Nursery follows a general structure and timetable, however this is not set in stone as some days may offer a unique and different learning opportunity, for example an unexpected fall of snow.

During the day the children will be involved in a range of activities either chosen by themselves or lead by an adult. It could be indoors or outdoors.

Our general timetable is as follows:

  • 07.30 – Nursery opens for early starts.
  • 08.00 – Drop off, children are welcomed into Nursery parents tell us how the child has been, children have indoor free play with their friends.
  • 09.15 am – Circle time (language, phonics, numbers, weather) through stories, nursery rhymes and group conversations.
